I am currently experimenting with using inked pens, pencil and watercolours to create a series of black and white illustrations with some minimal colours. I've got a few ideas of some compositions in mind and have already started on two of them. I have uploaded "Elise" which is the first one. The second way is still under works at the moment. Also, I am finding having a final and clean sketch/drawing is really important and helpful in getting a well composed artwork and makes it much easier to paint and choose colours. I use to sketch straight onto the paper and work on it from there, but now I produce a final sketch/outline of ht ework and

Artwork titles

Is it just me or do other people find it hard coming up with titles for their artworks? Sometimes I just sit there and can't think of a title for my work and it gets really frustrating. You've worked so hard on the painting and now you can't come up with a decent name for it. And titles are important. Strong, interesting titles can really attract people to look at the work. I wonder if I'm the only one who has this problem.
