I am currently experimenting with using inked pens, pencil and watercolours to create a series of black and white illustrations with some minimal colours. I've got a few ideas of some compositions in mind and have already started on two of them. I have uploaded "Elise" which is the first one. The second way is still under works at the moment. Also, I am finding having a final and clean sketch/drawing is really important and helpful in getting a well composed artwork and makes it much easier to paint and choose colours. Is it just me or do other people find it hard coming up with titles for their artworks? Sometimes I just sit there and can't think of a title for my work and it gets really frustrating. You've worked so hard on the painting and now you can't come up with a decent name for it. And titles are important. Strong, interesting titles can really attract people to look at the work. I wonder if I'm the only one who has this problem.
